It's a Girl!
You'd think that Cathy and I were getting a little too old to have more children, but here we go again. Yes we are expecting a brand new addition to the family sometime in July. Check out the picture...it looks like triplets.
Actually we are excited to be hosting another Australian Exchange student with the Lakewood Sister Cities program. It turns out that after getting accepted to the program over in Australia and getting all the way to the pairing party with the Americans, her American host family backed out in the 11th hour leaving her temporarily stranded. We couldn't stand by and let that happen so Cathy, Jaimie and I volunteered to host her during her stay over here. If you stop by for a visit this summer be prepared to help us welcome Bec (Rebecca) D'Ath-Weston to the States for her six month adventure with this years exchange group. Since the former family backed out there has been general out-reach among the other American exchange families here volunteering to support Bec and help out any way they can. I think she
can plan on being well looked after. We had a long talk on the phone the other night with Bec and her mother Lynda. Bec is into Scouting, and loves music, pets and photography. Sounds like she enjoys a bit of camping as well so we are cooking up some trips that she will hopefully enjoy. It sounds like Lynda has become very involved with managing the exchange group on that end and, in her spare time, is a mid-wife by profession. Here's Bec with Tobbii the cat.
