Jess Learns About the Cold

Jess has been freezing ever since she got here even though it really wasn't that cold by Colorado standards. But now that winter is moving in she is really starting to find out what cold means.
To jump start her education we took her to an ice hockey game. She had never been to one before as hockey is not big in the warm climate of Australia, and as far as I know they don't have any teams there. This was a first for me too, in a way, since it was the first time I have been to the Pepsi Center. The Pepsi Center was built a number of years ago to replace the old indoor stadium we used to have, and houses basketball, ice hockey, concerts, and other misc events. Hockey tickets are ridiculously expensive, and I don't like basketball so as a result I have never made an effort to go there. Anyway, Cathy scored some free hockey tickets so we went and I was pretty impressed with the stadium. Much nicer seats then most other venues.
Since then we have had several winter storms roll through. Although she says she's freezing Jess can't stay away from the snow. She's pretty fascinated with it so we are taking advantage of that and "letting" her shovel our driveway for fun. (If they are all like this, I think we will have to get an Aussie in here every winter.)
